To animate photographic elements, specifically humans, DUIK is used

to create bones that can manipulate the photographic elements.

Animation is completed primarily in After Effects.

One scene required money to rain down, not able to find stock footage with a long enough duration.  I used Cinema 4d to model and then animate the money raining down. 

The fish money I created using a simple fish shaped polygon and mapping the design over the model.  This allowed me to animate the tail swimming left and right.
